Armando Chin Yong   tenor

After graduating from the Malaysian Institute of Arts in 1983, Armando Chin Yong took up advanced vocal studies in Rome, Italy. He subsequently enrolled at the Austrian National Vienna Academy of Music and Performing Arts, where he studied vocal music and operatic stage performance. He later went over to Germany and took up employment at the Dresden National Opera House from 1990 to 1992. While in Europe, Chin Yong won numerous prizes at international singing competitions, with critics hailing him as an outstanding and promising young tenor emerging on the scene. Since returning from Europe, he remains active doing concert, oratorio and opera performances, and has built up an extensive performance portfolio in the Asian region.
