Kai Loon's directorial credits include Fragrance Of The Night and Love Without End, both Malaysian Boh Cameronian award winning productions; Spring Kisses Lover's Tears, which was staged in the Majestic Theatre in Shanghai and Jubilee Hall Singapore; Memories, which was restaged to a full house audience at the E&O Penang; and In The Imperial Garden, a musical showcase of poems from the Tang and Song Dynasties with new age music. He was the artistic director for Dama's Chinese New Year Musical productions in Indonesia, commissioned by Bank Mandiri and MetroTV. His recent works was the sold-out September Tale, a concert tribute to Teresa Teng. Kai Loon also co-produced numerous Dama critically-acclaimed productions – including Reminiscence By The Moon Lake, The Songs In Me, Portrait Of A Songstress, In The Imperial Garden, A Musical Sojourn and Le Cabaret Shanghai.

Kai Loon studied acting under the tutelage of Mustafa Noor at Drama Center. He has acted in numerous plays, including Inch By Inch, House Of A Thousand Planks, Musuh Rakyat and 1984 and has also done community theatre projects for schools, women's organizations and an autistic centre. Kai Loon received his BA (Hons.) from University of Sheffield, MSc from London School of Economics and MBA (Finance) from University of Hull.
