Sheng Kuo Yung specialises in the sheng (Chinese harmonica). His performance credits include In The Imperial Garden, Fragrance of The Night, A Musical Sojourn, Unforgettable, Love Without End, Memories, Le Cabaret Shanghai, September Tale and Butterfly Lovers. A resident musician with Dama, Kuo Yung has performed in Singapore, Indonesia and Australia. He was also involved in Dama recordings; they include Fragrance Of The Night and September Tale. Kuo Yung studied the Sheng with Malaysian teachers and with Guo Chang Suo, the Sheng Sectional Principal of Singapore Chinese Orchestra. He teaches and conducts music in several primary and secondary school orchestras.
